About
Urban
Sanctuary
Urban Sanctuary privately owned wellbeing-studio at the heart of Edinburgh's West End.
We offer a range of treatments varying from 1-2-1 acupuncture and dry cupping to small group themed Wellbeing weekends. We also work closely with local businesses and run work place wellbeing sessions.
Founded in 2019, Urban Sanctuary has now moved and transformed from its origins from Dewar Place Lane into a bespoke and cosy studio on William Street at West End Edinburgh.
For the first two years we offered mainly small group yoga and relaxation classes, private acupuncture sessions and ran professional wellbeing practitioner trainings for the studio.
“During COVID we took all possible services online and also decided to
re-think what we wish to bring to the Edinburgh's wellbeing scene.”
Communal
Community and equality have always ween in our values and we decided to bring those values more to the forefront. Hence we will offer some of our services in a community setting in the future. One very popular treatment is Community Acupuncture where 2 or more people have their treatments in the same space with a staggered start time. Our approach will be 2 customer maximum, which will promote privacy and a calm atmosphere. The model allows the pricing to be very approachable at half price..
Our Ethos & Offering
Our ethos is to offer approachable, affordable, and inclusive treatments and wellbeing sessions for anyone who feels the need to restore their wellbeing. We offer daily 1-2-1 treatment sessions, affordable "multi-bed" treatments (2 treatment tables in one room with courtesy curtains), and monthly small group (max 4-5 participants) day retreats.
The studio has a separate back area for changing clothes (if needed) and a toilet. You will have everything that you might need for your visits at the studio: yoga mats and props for the small group day retreats, zero gravity recliners for the ear acupuncture-sessions and an extra comfortable treatment bed for your 1-2-1 treatments.
