We offer shorter and longer immersions on Yin and Therapeutic Yoga in Edinburgh.
Yin Yoga & Therapeutic Yoga
I am a professionally trained Yoga Therapist (2014) and a yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) and have experience in especially the following: stress, fatigue, mobility, heart issues, insomnia and weight management. Yoga Therapy should always be a minimum of three-session commitment.
Therapeutic Yoga Workshops
A workshop is a great gateway to familiarise yourself in our teaching style and deepen your understanding of the yoga styles we offer.
If you prefer to have a private session in yin or therapeutic yoga, we would gladly cater to your needs.
A private class would be recommended if you have for example injuries, anxiety or you wish to work on your specific mobility issues with a professional.
Seasonal Yin 120 min
This practice allows us to dive into the supporting practice of longer held asanas with variations.
This class is most suitable for practitioners who are already familiar with yin yoga due to the length of asanas and concentration area of teaching being other than alignment.
If you are new to the practice, please join me for some other yin sessions before this class. Guidance to the asanas is given, but I try to keep the practice as gently flowing as possible. You will have a futon, double mat, bolsters, tiles and everything you need, waiting for you in the space. Please wear comfortable, warm clothing.
YinFulness 90 min
A 90 minute class including 75 minutes of asana practice and 15 minutes of mindfulness meditation and savasana (relaxation).
In all of the yinfulness classes, we will set an intention to support our practice and use tools from the MBSR programme to anchor to our session.
Aroma Yin 90 min
In Aroma Yin we will combine the basic poses of yin yoga with my specially blended therapeutic grade essential oils.
If you wish to purchase the oil used in the session, it is possible to do so before or after class for £5 extra (2ml glass bottle with metallic roll-on)
Aromatherapy is a powerful aid for any situation. Essential oils have been researched extensively and have found out to be helpful in many imbalances, for example, insomnia, stress, fatigue – just to name a few.
